School Catchment Information

School catchment maps are provided for guidance only, and should not be used as the sole basis for house purchase or development/investment decisions.

Householders should check catchment information with Pupil Placement. Developers should contact Planning Services with all queries relating to potential developments.

School Medication

"Upon enrolment to school any medication that parents/carers are requesting the school/nursery to administer on their behalf requires the correct forms to be completed and given to the school/nursery. Medication cannot be administered without this.

Parents/carers are responsible for providing the correct amount of medication that is in date, and for providing more medication before the other expires. All medication including inhalers should be provided in the box from the chemist that indicates your child's name and the expiry date.

If after enrolment and throughout attendance at nursery/school any new health care issues that require medication or additional care arise, then parents/carers are responsible for informing the school or nursery immediately. Parents/carers will be asked to complete the relevant forms issued, prior to any medication being administered by school/nursery staff. "

Please refer to our Policy and Procedures Section to see all medical forms.

Allergies

As part of the current approaches to managing allergies in schools, it is important to engage the wider school community in ensuring the safety of learners with specific allergens. It is paramount that we signpost and raise awareness, however it should be made clear that whilst the school/setting can action precautionary measures, the support and awareness of the whole school community is required. Therefore, please see attached a promotional poster which has been developed to have on display across our school.

Although the schools in West Lothian are unable to guarantee a nut free environment. We hope with all the appropriate measures undertaken it will ensure that all school users are aware of allergies.
